I AM a strong mother because my son is Super Baby! He has defied odds and is thriving with Tracheomalasia. He didn't outgrow it. He has thought me more as my 4th child than the other 3. He is so strong. He has to fight common colds with everything in him. He pushes me to be stronger because he is so strong! How can I complain about anything when he fights daily. I am blessed to be his mom!

I am a strong mother not because I've held it together all the time, but because I've SURVIVED LM,BM,laryngeal cleft, and FTT while my pint dized powerhouse has fought through it. I've cried, yelled, screamed, and helped my son overcome his airway defect! ♡ to all the strong fighter moms out there. Your little would be lost without you!

I'm a strong mother because I have been raising my children alone I'm a working single mother and finding out my little Man had LM was the most scaries thing in my world. I was alone and went through the surgery process alone after this is when I found this group. I love all the support we give to one another to empower the mothers that it does get better it's a fight seeing it now but it will get better. I love being able to help others out in their hard journeys but so worth it to me.

I am a strong mother because the times most would have given up pushed myself and family to be stronger. Two days before my due date we were evicted along with surrendering our pets we moved in with family I have a 8 year old daughter 7 year old son and 3 month old LM baby. During this time I learned what post partum depression along with learning about my sons LM I never knew about it before. I just started a 40 hour job and dread taking my baby to daycare and cry. This year so far has been the most challenging and to be atandi g strong still lots of rears and a long way to go I am a damn strong mommy.

I am a strong mom because I will not give up and I will always fight for my kids. It has not been easy. It has been terrifying. My daughter is a pint-sized powerhouse....she is strong and is a fighter. She would not still be here if she was not. She has not given up and neither will I.

I am a strong mother because I'm weak. Because I have broke down in tears more than once. But that means I've got back up for my powerhouse. I have smiled through fear, danced in the rain and brought light into the darkness for my LM baby! I have watched my 3 month old gasp for every breath,my 5 month old be put to sleep and have a supra,my 10 month old get referrals for doctor a because they think the op failed, my almost 11 month old choke and turn blue when he tried to eat and we are still standing. I've taken older children to.school and picnics, I've carried rucksacks on my back, a toddler on my hip and my LM son in the sling to hospital appointments and parks. I have seen the happy smile of my powerhouse and been grateful for the LM journey that's given us a unique connection. I am a strong mother because I have a strong son.

I am a strong mother because of my son Eli. He was diagnosed at 3 months of age with Laryngeal and Tracheal Malacia. His 41day stay at Stanford Children's Hospital ended with a gtube placement, Sternotomy, thymectomy and an Aorta Plasty. Most moms take their babies home from the hospital with balloons...I took mine home with accessories. Eli came home with a pulse oximeter, feeding pump, nasal suction machine, oxygen tanks, ventilator, and a long med regimen. I wasn't allowed to take him into public places for 6-8mths. I cried a lot that first year. I grieved over the thought of never having the "normal" infant years. We barreled through the darkest year of his life as a whole family. We had many follow up visits from every specialty in the medical community. Eli is now 18mths old and med free, tube free, and has completely out grew his malacias. I am a strong mother because Of him.

I am a strong mother because of my amazing support system, both my biological family and my LM family. No one is ever too busy to help out, or answer a burning question, or even offer an often greatly needed hug. My Keiley deserves to have the best mum ever so that she can receive the best care and also all the love and attention she deserves.

I am a strong mother because against all odds I keep it together every day. I'm managing to raise 3 kids on my own, work 40+ hours a week, coach 2 volleyball teams and love my kids every day. My youngest is my pint size powerhouse. It had been a very scary at times, but we have gotten through it together.

I am a strong mother because I am a single mother and can do it all. I am a strong mother because I can work six jobs to give my children everything they need. I am strong because while coping with LM with my youngest I was and am fighting cancer. Both of my children had major surgeries at six months my eldest with craniosynostosis. It's hard but I wouldn't change my kiddos for the world they are my everything. They make me strong!

I am a strong mother because I am a mom. I've been blessed with three amazing sons and I love them all. Being the mother of a child with laryngomalacia has opened my eyes to see how just important one little act of care is. Whether it be embracing, feeding, bathing, comforting, or playing with your child every little bit of it is important and amazing. Happy Mother's day Mommas!

    - I am a strong mother because I put my children first. I get up with my 6mo LM baby multiple times a night despite being exhausted because I know she needs me and she needs my milk in order to outgrow LM! I try not to compare her to her non-LM older brother too much, who slept thru the night at just 9wo, and instead appreciate their differences. I remind myself every day that our struggles are making us all stronger and capable of tackling anything. She's our tough little cookie and I'm their rock, their world, their strong mama.

I am a strong mother because of my two childrens, they are my strength. My beautiful princess is 3 years old and my little king just turned 5 months old. Ethan was diagnosed with LM when he was 1 month old. Our whole world just broke down at this moment... Who's going to take care of the oldest while we were in the hospital? And what about our two dogs? Our house??? We got through this with our family (thanks to them!!!) Now things are better, Ethan is doing great and we finally got to enjoy some family time!

    Happy Mother's Day!

I am a strong mother because in Motherhood i have experienced joy, even while experiencing the hardest trials of my whole life. I have learned to rise to any occasion and found myself lifted to new heights while stretching myself beyond any and all limits I once put upon myself. With rarely a dull moment, I've experienced more joy, more love and sometimes the most heartbreak I've ever felt and sometimes feel my heart will shatter for crying so many tears for my LM super baby. And other times I think my heart is going to explode due to all the love. Motherhood is: my life, my joy, my passion, my greatest achievement.I am a strong And Proud LM super mom and honored God picked me to fight and to love for my LM baby!

I am a strong mother because there is no other option. No one else is going to be at my daughter's bedside 24/7, her biggest advocate and cheerleader, seek out second opinions and the best care possible for her, read every research article ever printed on airway Malacias, and exclusively pump for 2 years so she can get the best possible nutrition and control her reflux. I am strong because my daughter deserves the nothing less than the best.

I am a strong mother only because my son gave me strength during the hardest time of our lives. When I felt like the doctors would give up; when I felt too weak and scared to carry on my son continued to fight. He gave me a purpose in my life to make his light shine and to make his story one to be told.
My strength only comes from him as without his will to breathe and fight to survive I would not have had to put my weakness aside and fight for my son.
He gives me hope that tomorrow will be a better day...perhaps not perfect but perfect wouldn't be my Daniel.

  27. I am strong because I am a mum of five children that all had laryngomalacia and bronchomalacia. I have spent weeks upon weeks in hospital away from my other children and driven the two hour trip to our children's hospital usually on my own to multiple appointments and well over two hundred times in the last five years. I have placed my children multiple times into our surgeons arms and entrusted them with their life while falling apart inside. I've slept thousands of nights on a chair and still do to keep my children breathing. I've faced diagnosis upon diagnosis and fought time and time again to get them to listen and have saved my third daughters life far more times than I can remember...... This is far from what I ever could have imagined as a mum it has broken me down to nothing and still does and while I currently watch my four month old baby recover from his second surgery and still struggling to feed i am facing putting my eight year old daughter through surgery because she simply can't outgrow this insidious condition enough to run around like a normal child. But most of al I'm strong because this has broken me into a million pieces but I've remained strong and have actually become a better person a better mother a better friend a better nurse I've met amazing powerful glorious mums who have struggled and who I've walked away from with such love and respect for how amazing they have coped with sick children X never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined this but no could never see how much I would love my babies how resilient they are how amazing they are every single day I look at them and think how could I have been given this much beauty laryngomalacia has given me that gift to realise how very fragile, special deep love is for your children. Every single one of you wonderful women has my admiration love and respect x

I am strong because I have two pair of eyes soon to be three that look up to me. Both of my boys have health problems and I need to be there and be strong for them. They deserve that. They've both been through so much in their short lives. I have to fight and be their voice. I wouldn't have it any other way.

I am a strong mother because I have stayed up long nights with my LM baby nursing him and making sure he's breathing, going to the hospital when he was initially diagnosed and holding him when he had to be scoped at one month crying and not sedated. I am a strong mom because he is my fifth child and he has taught me my heart can love and not fear anything.

  31. I am a strong mom because that is how I want my babies to remember me, and that is the example I want them to follow. This is what helps me keep it together. No matter what road bumps we encounter, we get past them together. Life is not always easy, but we have each other and that makes the journey so sweet!

I am strong because of my son. He gave me the strength to keep going even when I wanted to give up. On March 2, 2015 I gave birth to a miracle. It was until about a month later that I realized just truly how much of a miracle he was. I was told by his ENT that did his first surgery that he couldn't believe he didn't just give up and stop breathing. He was strong. He didn't give up. He had a trach and handled it so well and me not so much! He gave me the strength to keep going! This year has been a crazy year and I am truly blessed. Image 4 amazing kids and each have blessed me in many ways. I am a stronger mom because of Carter Tison Roberts!!

I am a strong mother because my baby depends on me. Whether it's being his advocate so his voice can be heard, or caring for him at home instead of nurses so he can have some consistency, he needs me. He's spent more than half of his 4 months of life in the hospital, but has always been bright eyed and smiling. Even after his tracheostomy, he woke up smiling. If he can be a little fighter through it all, then I owe it to him to be strong and fight with him.
